Operating Environment and Pre-Installation Checks
The operating environment for CAMServer is as follows:
Compatible OS
Windows・WindowsServer / Linux(Ubuntu) / Mac
- Supported OS version conforms to OS support period
- Since the Enterprise plan and above are server models, if you select Windows, you will need Windows Server in the production environment.
- Choosing Mac/Linux eliminates the need for server licenses (CALs) like those required for Windows Server, thus reducing costs.
- It can be built in cloud environments such as AWS/GCP/Azure, and Windows Server in the cloud does not generate CALs.
- It can also run on virtual servers such as VMware.
- CAMServer itself has a built-in web server that uses TCP ports 443 and 8080, and for web conferencing, it uses UDP ports 3478 and 10000.
- Please assign a fixed private IP address (IP address changes via DHCP are not allowed) and a Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN).
minimum spec
CPU: One that can run the OS smoothly (ideally 4 cores or more)
Memory: 8GB or more
Disk: SSD 256GB or larger
Specifications for a large-scale environment (500+ online users / when using AI)
CPU: 10 cores or more
Memory: 16GB or more
Disk: SSD 512GB or larger
GPU: For AI use, 4GB or more of VRAM is required.
* AI will run faster if a GPU is installed. For small groups, a CPU is acceptable.
*Macs are recommended because they have a built-in GPU and unified memory optimizes CPU/GPU performance.

Please install using the installer camserver_setup as follows:

Confirmation after startup
When CAMServer is started, the software title and user name are started with CAMServer.
Chat&Messenger, which is on the same network as the CAMServer, automatically recognizes the CAMServer and displays the CAMServer icon in the upper left user list.


Starts CAMServer at OS startup
To start CAMServer automatically when your PC boots up, follow these steps:Choose oneI will execute it.

To start CAMServer automatically when your PC boots up, check the "Open at login" option. This will start camserver when your Mac boots up.
