function addition

Chat&Messenger released voice and video calling capabilities exclusively for LANs in 2009 (Windows Forest News Article Reference), and about 10 years later, the concept has been renewed with cloud computing and mobile devices.

The concept is as follows

  • Chat&Messenger Cloud Enables voice and video calls between desktops and mobiles (Android/iOS)
Video calls can now be linked to desktop and mobile
  • The concept is to make it easy to participate anytime, anywhere, and later.
  • Supports one-on-one video calls as well as group video calls with multiple people
  • Support for switching between in-camera and out-camera on mobile
For example, video calls can be made from a smartphone while projecting external images, such as using an out-camera to convey images of a construction site, warehouse, or care facility to the local area.
  • The chat screen is automatically split evenly according to the number of people you are calling.
  • Support for both P2P and SFU in consideration of NAT limitation and multiple simultaneous connections
    * A mechanism to distribute audio and video via a server instead of P2P when the PC is overloaded with many participants or when P2P connection cannot be established due to NAT restrictions.
  • WebRTC support allows for browser-based access to Chat&Messenger cloud services.

improvement

  • Improved user registration flow for cloud version (v4.03.07)
